New Year, New Roles, New Faces

2018 is unfolding quickly, but we wanted to take a breath and share a few exciting updates about our team. Nearly three years ago, we made a strategic decision as an agency to focus our services on higher education. We truly believe that an educated planet is a better place for everyone, and the opportunity to help our university partners attract and retain students from all walks of life is something we relish. So many great experiences have resulted since we made this shift, and we couldn’t be happier that we made the leap.

As we continue to tailor our services to the needs higher education marketers, our leadership team is taking on new responsibilities. We’ve promoted Beth Blume to President, Matt McFadden to Director of Client Success and Grace King to Director of Operations. We’ve also added key team members in a new Creative Director, Dustin Thomas, bolstered our account team by bringing on Courtney Moseley, and brought on Tyler Ulmer to head up new business.

Beth Blume—President

Beth Blume has been promoted to President of Up&Up, and she will be taking over the day to day operations of the agency from CEO Adam Landrum. Beth’s experience in leading key strategic initiatives for clients such as Marian University, the University of North Carolina, the University of Georgia, and Lynn University, coupled with her knowledge of the agency world make her a perfect fit to evolve Up&Up into one of the most sought after agencies in higher education.

Grace King—Director of Operations

Grace King has been promoted to Director of Operations. She has skillfully planned and conducted every project for Up&Up for the past 5+ years. Her expanded role will oversee operations which includes resource planning, finance, and supporting the very team that supports our clients.

Matt McFadden—Director of Client Success

Matt is our new Director of Client Success. In his new role, he’ll be responsible for the overall strategic success of client projects. He’ll oversee the account team as well as the internal marketing team at Up&Up.

Adam Landrum—CEO

After 16 years, founder and CEO Adam Landrum has delegated the President responsibility of managing the day to day duties to the leadership team to focus on the long term strategic vision of the agency.

And now for some new faces. We hope you’ll help us to welcome them.

Dustin Thomas—Creative Director

Dustin is a nationally award-winning conceptual thinker. In his 15 years in the industry, he has created incredibly successful and innovative campaigns for national and global brands. Some of his notable clients include America’s Navy, Ford, Apple, iTunes, Nike, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Mazda, and Puma/Cobra Golf, among others. Dustin will lead all brand strategy and creative campaign development for Up&Up.

Courtney Moseley—Project Manager

Courtney serves on the Up&Up client services and project management teams. Her past agency experience includes oversight of creative development teams and leading media planning and buying execution for a number of national accounts. She is currently managing digital marketing projects for higher ed clients like Point University, Illinois College, UNC and others. She brings a passion for integrated marketing to the Up&Up team, coupled with a systematic approach to project management.

Tyler Ulmer—Marketing Manager

And as the newest addition to the team, Tyler will be using his experience in business development and brand building to help oversee Up&Up’s sales and marketing activities.
