JP Brennan

Operations Manager

After rising through the ranks at global organizations in their respective Chicago offices, JP brings more than 10 years of experience in FP&A, as well as six years in corporate accounting, to Up&Up as the Operations Manager.

In this role, JP handles the day-to-day life at Up&Up, with an emphasis on accounting, talent, and human resources management.

Before joining the team, JP served in leadership finance roles at Leo Burnett, USA and Dentons US LLP.

In 2018, JP and his wife, Karen, took a seven-month travel sabbatical across the U.S. to find a new city to call home. After exploring the nation, they rightfully chose Greenville.

Outside the office, JP enjoys spending time at the local breweries and restaurants. While he has adopted Clemson as his local football team, he’ll always root for his favorite Chicago sports teams.

What’s the best thing you’ve learned since starting your career?
The canoe usually gets to where you want to go when everyone knows the direction they are supposed to be paddling.

What excites you?
Spending time with my wife and family. Vacations. Traveling. Trying new things.

How did you decide to get into your current work role?
After taking a travel sabbatical, I knew that I wanted to get back into advertising/professional services, specifically a smaller company.

What’s your favorite thing about yourself?
My sarcasm.

What’s your personal superpower?
My ability to fall asleep at 8 p.m. any night of the week.
