After wearing many hats in the ever-changing advertising world, Kevin’s passion grew for coming up with ideas that have a human touch and an original perspective. And throughout his 15+ years juggling art and copy in the Windy City, he’s championed the strong value of diversity and experiences in the workplace.
As the Executive Creative Director, Kevin uses his design upbringing and writing background to lead the Up&Up creative team. He also provides strategic guidance to Up&Up’s sales, branding, marketing, and digital efforts and initiatives.
Kevin brings a wide range of creative agency experience shaping some of the world’s most iconic brands to Up&Up. He spent his formative years at JWT Chicago where he progressed from Art Director to Associate Creative Director/Copywriter building brands for Oscar Mayer, Nabisco, and Miller/Coors.
At FCB Chicago, he became a founding member of the multicultural department where he grew and led a 45-member team for all in-house clients including State Farm, KFC/YUM brands, Qwest communications along with occasional contributions to other clients like Boeing, Milk council.
Kevin served in leadership roles at Burrell Communications on Toyota, McDonalds and Verizon telecommunications. After transitioning to CommonGround marketing in Chicago, he headed a group tasked with leading creative partnership development with BBDO/NYC and Saatchi NYC on both American Family Insurance and Miller/Coors.
In the most recent years, Kevin led the Church’s Chicken Brand development at a mid-sized agency. He then started his own practice as a Creative Consultant. Throughout his accomplished and varied career, Kevin’s earned awards and accolades from American Advertising Awards (formerly the ADDYs), AdAge, Creativity magazine and more.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Beth, and their two daughters. And when it comes to taking the scenic route, you can find him on his motorcycle.
